About this Author:

I love romance, magic, and writing. Ever since I can remember, I wanted to write. When I was about eleven, my friend and I wrote a little book of short stories about mermaids that we illustrated ourselves. It was quite a thriller as you might imagine. When I was a teenager, I fantasized about being a writer but didn’t know what I wanted to write. In college, I embarked on my first romance story… somehow it turned into a murder mystery. I have to be honest, where my imagination and the characters took me freaked me out a little, and I put writing on hold for about ten years while I did other things. But there was always a little voice in the back of my mind that wouldn’t let me forget my dream of writing.
About five years ago I finally started my first novel. It was rough going. I hadn’t really studied writing and while I had written papers and articles in school and for my jobs, fiction was a different animal. Once I hit my stride, the first two-and-a-half books in the Quytel Series poured onto the page. Embarking on this strange journey of writing has led me into other worlds and on wild adventures, which I thoroughly enjoyed. But the books certainly needed quite a lot of work, so I spent the next few years editing and revising. It took several conversations with friends and family, and a particularly memorable bit of coaxing from a dear friend, who is also an author, before I was ready to share them. I hope you enjoy reading these stories as much as I've loved writing them.

My Thoughts:

This one was exciting, action packed, romantic and suspenseful too!

I was somewhat confused at first but I enjoyed it none the less.

Circle of Dreams was sexy, exhilarating and engaging.

There were plenty of paranormal beings. It was a compelling and unique group that we meet in this book.

The pace was mostly steady with just a few small lags.

If you like shifters you will probably want to grab this now while it is only 99 cents.

Reviews ~ The Daddy's Girl Series by Normandie Alleman

Synopsis

Daddy Morebucks, Book #1 From the moment she laid eyes upon him, Marley knew in her heart that James was not just another client, and the difference wasn’t even the large sum of money he offered in return for a single night of submission. No, what set him apart was the fact that when she called James “daddy”, it was her own heart which beat faster and her own body which ached with need. After that night, Marley does her best to put all thought of him behind her, using the huge payday he provided to get on her feet again and start over… until James knocks on her door and walks right back into her life. He makes her a simple offer: if she will live with him and submit to him whenever he wishes, he will provide for her every desire. Even before she accepts his offer, Marley knows that what she truly wants is not money or clothing or even a fancy new car. What she longs for is a daddy who will give his little girl what she really needs… a daddy who will spank her bare bottom when she is naughty, tie her up and take her any way he pleases, and then cuddle her until she falls asleep in his arms. Can she dare to hope that James will be that daddy? Publisher’s Note: Daddy Morebucks is an erotic novel that includes spankings, graphic sexual scenes, elements of age play and BDSM, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book. -------

Daddy's Girl, Book #3 Twenty-four-year-old Charmaine Bainbridge appears to have it all—beauty, fame, and tremendous wealth—yet behind all the glitz and glamor hides a sad little girl who has been abandoned by every man she’s ever loved. When firefighter Hunter Baldwin saves Charmaine from a fire in her penthouse apartment—a blaze started by her own carelessness—he’s appalled by her nonchalant attitude. Forced to carry her to safety, he throws her over his shoulder, but not before correcting her behavior with a well-deserved spanking. Something about Charmaine arouses him deeply, and it isn’t just her gorgeous looks. This girl needs to be firmly corrected and thoroughly dominated, and a part of Hunter demands that he be the one to take her in hand. Though he’s used to charging into burning buildings on a daily basis, Hunter knows taming Charmaine’s wild ways may prove to be his greatest challenge yet. Undeterred, he takes on the role of Charmaine’s daddy dom in hopes of breaking down her defenses and healing her wounds. But can she bring herself to open her heart to him, or will she remain the lonely little rich girl forever? Publisher’s Note: Poor Little Daddy’s Girl is the third book in the Daddy’s Girl series. It incorporates characters from the first two books in the series, but it is a stand-alone novel. This book includes spankings, sexual scenes, BDSM content, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

A former psychologist, Normandie has always been fascinated by human behavior. She loves writing quirky characters that are all too human. “I’m interested in the kind of relationships people have in real life. So I write about my characters’ messy, unpredictable, and inexplicable journeys to love.”
If there were another 5 hours in the day, Normandie would spend more time needle-pointing and playing with photography. Instead, she’s a Pinterest addict and sports junkie who’s crazy for Twitter and the color pink. She lives with a passel of children, her hunky husband, and a pet pig who loves Red Bull.

My Thoughts:

I was able to read and review the first three books in the Daddy's Girl series. The first book was Daddy Morebucks. In it Marley is the leading lady. She is really down on her luck and has resorted to prostitution just to survive. She is set up with James and that is when our story really takes off.

I enjoyed the story. It had some pretty sweat moments and Marley was mostly down to earth and really likable. The only part of the story that I had an issue with was the menage. It was written fine, I just prefer monogomy and while this was a one time thing and a special situation, I wanted to strangle both Marley and James. One should not have suggested it and the other should not have went along. It would have saved many a tear and made me like the book better as well.

Other than that, this book was pretty romantic, extremely sexy, a little dramatic and slightly humorous in parts.

Daddy's Game is book two. This book features a biracial love story. I really liked Carmen. She was talented, sweet, understanding, compassionate, and very loving. She always gave of herself.

Natron was a colored man who was a big wig football player. He was very dominating, somewhat kinky and a bit egotistical. He was a huge mama's boy and I was more than upset with the way he let his mama talk to and treat Carmen for much of the book.

This one had more depth as it deals with injury and consequences of bad choices.

Poor Little Daddy's Girl is the third book. Charmaine was more than just a pretty face. She just needed to be taken in hand by a strong man. ;-) Hunter was perfect for the job!

I liked this one better than the second but not as much as the first book.

Each of the books featured  the main couple but included the characters from the previous books as well as the Daddy's Girl Club which has girls that have yet to be featured. I myself am waiting to see Sloan's story. ;-)

These were all extremely erotic, sexy, smoking hot and full of dominant men.

This was my first time experiencing the wonder that is audio reading.

I thought the "reader" did a great job with the many different voices that she portrayed. I enjoyed the experience but I'm not going to rush out and go buying audio books now. They are soo expensive and I read way to much to be able to afford it on a regular basis. I would review them though. :D

If you like your books scorching and your hands free to do other things while reading, this is a no-brainer collection that you should have. ;-)

I received copies of each book in exchange for my honest opinion. Super hot is what you'll find with each of these!

Review ~ SLATE (Breaking the Declan Brothers, #2) by Kelly Gendron

"Some boys will keep it, some will break it, and some boys, they just won't want it. You gotta be careful who you give your heart to..." Slate Declan
First loves, we all got them. Mine is Slate Declan. He was kind, gentle, and caring. Still, he managed to break my heart. So I put miles between us, and eventually, my heart healed.
I haven’t seen Slate in years, but a couple friends and I are going back to the Bayou for the summer. While I’m visiting my hometown, I’m going to look up Slate Declan. And I plan to break his heart, just as he did mine. I'll remind him of what he has lost, and then I'll prove to him that I’ve moved on.
It should be real easy, right?
Well, let me tell you, Slate Declan is not the same guy that I left behind. And there’s another problem. How do you break someone’s heart when they no longer have one?

“Oh, come on! You can throw harder than that,” I say catching the ball.
A wily grin spreads across Slate’s mouth. “I don’t want to hurt your girlie hand.”
“You won’t.” I whip the baseball back to him, and he easily catches it.
“Hey, Grams wanted me to ask if you’re coming over for dinner Saturday,” he says, tossing the ball up in the air and then catching it in his mitt.
Since Jamison’s death, home hasn’t been the same. My parents are either arguing or not speaking at all. So, I’m rarely there. I hang out at Slate’s or Emmie’s, weekends mostly at Slate’s seeing as Emmie’s mom usually has some kind of event or pageant scheduled for her. “I don’t know.” I shrug.
He stops playing with the ball and looks at me. “What? You got something else going on?”
“Well,” I set my glove on my hip, “Timmy Baxter did ask me out to the movies.”
Slate’s face scrunches up. “Like on a date?”
“I think so,” I say with a grimace.
“And what are you going to do at the movies?”
“Watch it, and maybe kiss,” I say, knowing that’s what most couples do at the movies.
“Kiss!” His eyebrows lift. “Have you ever kissed a boy before?”
“No.” I look down, kicking some dirt on the ground with my sneaker, suddenly feeling weird talking about this with Slate.
“But you want to kiss Timmy Baxter?”
“I don’t know.” I glance up at him. “Maybe.”
He walks over to me. “Show me.” He drops his glove on the ground.
“Show you what?”
“How you’re gonna kiss Timmy Baxter.”
“You want me to kiss you?”
“Yeah.” He lifts his hand. “Here, show me on my hand.”
“That’s stupid.”
“Don’t you want to know if you’re doing it right?” He shoves his fist closer to my face. “Go on.”
Never backing down from a challenge presented by Slate, I grab his balled hand and pull it up to my mouth. I close my eyes and press my lips against his warm skin. Opening my eyes, he’s curiously watching me. “Not too bad.” He drops his hand. “Now, let me show you how a boy’s supposed to kiss you.”
“Okay.” I go to thrust out my hand, but he grabs it, yanks me against him, and lowers his head. He’s going to kiss me on the…Wow! His lips touch mine and those dormant butterflies come swarming into my belly. He pulls away with a smile. “And if he tries to stick his tongue in your mouth, knee him in the balls.”
“You kissed me!”
“Ah, it was just a peck.”
“It was a kiss! Ow…I should knee you in the balls.”
“What, you didn’t like it?”
“You’re a jerk, Slate Declan.” I whack him in the chest with my glove. “I thought you were going to kiss my hand, too!”
“Your hand is all dirty. Besides, I wanted to be sure I got there before anyone else did.”
“Got where,” I ask, and a smile ruffles his mouth. What is he talking about? He’s not making any sense, and darn it, my lips are still tingling where his mouth touched me. “I’m going home!”
He starts laughing.
“Jerk!” I stomp away.
“Hey, Rayna,” he calls after me, still laughing.
I flip around with a snarky, “What?”
“Have fun on your date Saturday.”

I’m a tease, always have been. In my teens, Jax Declan tried to warn me about staying away from the bad boys. The only boy I ever wanted was Jax. But, no matter how much I tried to play with him, he rejected me.
I haven’t seen Jax Declan in years. A couple friends and I are going back to the Bayou for the summer. A little older now, and a bit wiser, I’ve decided that I’m going to find my teenage crush and I’m going to break him. This summer Jax Declan will play with me.
But the closer I get and the more I learn about the reserved, discreet, and sexy Jax Declan. Well, I’m starting to think that Jax Declan might just be one of those bad boys he tried to warn me about all those years ago.

My Thoughts:

One of my favorite series so far this year! I really liked book one and this one took my breathe away with the emotional depth that the story had.

I felt for Slate and Rayna both. I also wanted to beat the poop out of Slate and tell him to grow up. I Love the family dynamic and all of the characters are easy to love even when you dislike what they are doing.

I don't want to give too much away but.... if you like books that leave you reeling from "feeling", this one is a must read. The story is touching, endearing, raw, edgy, tense, compelling and full of love both familial and romantic.

I could not put it down and I read it straight through.

Please add this series to your TBR list. I would read them in order cause that is how I like it done. ;-)

I received an ecopy in exchange for my honest opinion. It is without a doubt..... phenomenal. I am waiting to see what happens in the next book. I can't see how she could top this, but miracles never cease so I'll wait and see how she pulls it off. No preasure! ;-)
