I've been Tagged!

I have been "Tagged" by Cherie Colyer !!

Here are the tag rules:

1. You must post the rules.

2. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and then create ten new questions to ask the people that you have tagged.

3. Tag ten people and link to them on your post.

4. Let them know you've tagged them!

Cherie Colyer's questions:

1. What was the last book you read that you couldn’t put down?

Hide & Seek by Aimee Laine

2. What got you started Blogging & Why?

I've always loved reading but I really don't have anyone at home that wants to listen to me talk about what I'm reading and why I enjoy it so much. Also I enter giveaways all of the time and I win them sometimes. I wanted a way to give back. Now I have my own giveaways!

3. What is your favorite Genre & Why?

My favorite genre is paranormal romance. I enjoy books that have romance in them and when you add the paranormal aspect to them it just enhances the story. It adds more possibilities to a story that may have been very predictable otherwise.

4. What series haven’t you started that you would like to dive into?

This is an easy question to answer. I haven't read the Iron Fey series yet and I've heard such great things about it. As soon as I get caught up on my reading, that will be the next new series that I start.

5. What is your favorite book to movie adaptation? Least fave?

This is a bit harder for for me to answer. I don't watch many movies or much t.v. because I prefer to spend my time reading. I would say my favorite would be Harry Potter though I have to say that eventhough I liked the movies, I liked the books alot better. I really can't think of my least favorite. I can say that I have yet to find a movie that I like better than the book that it was taken from.

6. What are you reading now and what do you think about it?

I just finished Hide & Seek by Aimee Laine and I loved it. I am going to start reading Touch by Jus Accardo next. I have wanted to read this for awhile and have heard many great things about it. :D

7. If you could put yourself into any book, which would it be?

I think I would want to be in either a Mercy Thompson book or a Chicagoland Vampire book. Those are two of my favorite series. There is always something exciting going on in both of them! :D

8. Name a book that made you cry.

Hard Bitten by Chloe Neill made me cry.

9. Do you donate your books or do you save them all?

I save them unless I don't like them. I re-read books all of the time. I also have a lending library going where many of my friends borrow my books. I enjoy sharing a good read with them and then I don't feel guilty about spending money on books that just sit there.because they are getting used by more than just me!

10. What is one tip you would give to a new book blogger?

Don't be afraid to ask other bloggers for help or advice. Most of them don't mind because they were new once too. Have fun with it. Don't worry if you don't have followers overnight, they'll find you eventually!

Temptation Tuesday!

Today I am waiting for Fair Game by Patricia Briggs.

Fair Game (Alpha & Omega, #3)

From Goodreads:

Patricia Briggs, the #1 "New York Times" bestselling author of the Mercy Thompson novels, "always enchants her readers." (Lynn Viehl, "New York Times" bestselling author) Now her Alpha and Omega series-set in a world of shifting shapes, loyalty, and passion- brings werewolves out of the darkness and into a society where fear and prejudice could make the hunters prey...

They say opposites attract. And in the case of werewolves Anna Latham and Charles Cornick, they mate. The son-and enforcer-of the leader of the North American werewolves, Charles is a dominant alpha. While Anna, an omega, has the rare ability to calm others of her kind.

Now that the werewolves have revealed themselves to humans, they can't afford any bad publicity. Infractions that could have been overlooked in the past must now be punished, and the strain of doing his father's dirty work is taking a toll on Charles.

Nevertheless, Charles and Anna are sent to Boston, when the FBI requests the pack's help on a local serial killer case. They quickly realize that not only the last two victims were werewolves-all of them were. Someone is targeting their kind. And now Anna and Charles have put themselves right in the killer's sights...

I am counting down the minutes till I have this book.

Patricia Briggs is one of my favorite authors.

If you haven't read any of her books then you don't know what you're missing.

This is the third official book in the Alpha and Omega series.

On the Prowl is an anthology that contains the story of how Anna & Charles meet.

Cry Wolf is the first official book in the series. Hunting Ground is book two.

If you like werewolf books, you have to check out Patricia Briggs!!!!

This series is really good and her Mercy Thompson series is even better!!!!

Do yourself a favor and read her books if you like urban fantasy or werewolves.

What book is tempting you today? Is there a book that you can't wait for?

I'd love to know what you're thinking. Please leave a comment!

My Sunday Read!

I received Hide & Seek from J. Taylor Publishing .

Hide & Seek (Games of Zeus #1)

From Goodreads:

Lie, cheat or steal, no one can catch Tripp Fox. Except one woman.

Lexi Shepherd’s knack for finding whatever is asked of her isn’t sheer luck. It’s a gift from the Greek god Zeus.

That Lexi doesn’t use her ability to search for “Mr. Right” comes from one of many personal rules she has set for herself. Number one is not to let fate dictate her future.

Falling in love with Tripp breaks all the others.

Despite her principles, Lexi’s unable to stay away from the bad boy, and she finds herself toeing the grey line of the law for him.

Zeus, though, didn’t give Lexi and Tripp their talents to make their relationship a simple, easy alliance. He designed it to be exactly the opposite. Impossible. Always.

With their separation, Lexi expects Tripp to forfeit love in favor of destiny. He, on the other hand, intends to beat Zeus at his own game. With a plan in place, Tripp challenges Lexi to take the one action no one else can.

Find him.

The question isn’t can she ... but will she?

Sound good? Have you read this? Is it on your wishlist?

You can get your copy from Amazon or Barnes & Noble

From the back of the book:

I can feel every Shifter's emotions except Daniel's..

But even as her feelings for Daniel deepen, Hayden begins

Wednesday's Wonderings

I was thinking about what to read next.

That thought led me to wonder.

I was wondering, how do you choose what to read next?

Do you search your shelves for forgotten  treasures?

Do you read them in the order they arrived?

Do you have to be in the mood for certain genres?

Do you ask for recommendations?

Do you look for the first cover that appeals to you?

I was wondering, how do you decide what to read next?

Sometimes I do search my shelves for books that I haven't read yet.

I have to be in the right type of mood to read certain books.

I read books in the order I receive them, only when I am asked to do a review.

I put those first and try to go in the order that I receive them!

I do enjoy getting recommendations. If I have the book, I might go ahead and read it.

But usually, it goes on the tbr (to be read) list for another time .

I do like to look at the pretty covers, but they usually aren't a deciding factor for me.

When I really can't decide what to read next, I usually revisit one of my favorites.

How do you decide what to read next? Do you do one or more of the above?

Do you have a different way to choose? I'd love to know your method.

That's what I'm wondering about today.

I'd love to know what you're thinking. Please leave a comment!

My Review Of Every Time I Think of You by Camryn Rhys

The author gave me a copy of Every Time I Think of You in exchange for an honest review.

Every Time I Think of You

I read this story quickly. It was a fun read. In Every Time I think of You, Madison, a beautiful almost virgin plus Drew, a celibate man whore equals an interesting equation. You add in a scheming friend and I'll let you do the math. I really liked the plot. It had a lot of promise.

I had a minor complaint that the author had a hard time deciding on Madison's eye color. It confused me and I had to reread to make sure that I hadn't misunderstood. Her eye color switches from green to brown, then green is mentioned later and then brown again. It doesn't really matter what color her eyes were, I just found it confusing!

I was enjoying the story so much that the ending seemed rushed. They barely got together and then it was over! I feel that the story would have been even better if Ms. Rhys would have given us a little more.

Overall, I liked the story. If Ms. Rhys had decided on an eye color and not rushed the ending, I would have liked it even more!

This story is meant for adult eyes only!

It is definitely worth reading if you're looking for a quick, fun, read.

Happy President's Day!!!

It is President's day. The kids are home from school and driving me CRAZY!

I'll blame that insanity for the purchases that I just made.

I have spent the presidents well and purchased a whole bunch of books.

I really am crazy to add more books to my to be read shelves.

I don't think that I'll ever get caught up because I'm constantly adding new books.

There are just too many good books to choose from! I just love to read so much!

Here are some of the books that I purchased:

Assassin's Honor by Monica Burns

Tantalize by Cynthia Leitich Smith

Kiss of Snow by Nalini Singh

Lightbringer by K.D. McEntire

Dark Awakening (Dark Dynasties-Book 1) by Kendra Leigh Castle

Curse of the Gargoyle by Tara Nina

Kiss at Your Own Risk by Stephanie Rowe

Crave by Melinda Metz

Crime Tells: Lyric's Cop  by Jory Strong

Don't Expect Magic by Kathy McCullough

Have you read these already? Are they any good?

Are any of these on your wishlist or sitting on your tbr shelf ?

That's how I "spent" my President's today.

How did you spend your President's day?

Saturday's Suggestion!

Next I'm going to read:

Night Reigns (Immortal Guardians, #2)

From the back of the book:

Ami isn't much for trusting strangers. She has a hard time
trusting anyone. But she's no coward, and she's no pushover in
the protection department either. So when she comes across a
mysterious warrior taking on eight deranged vampires on his own,
she doesn't hesitate to save his bacon. Of course, that was before
she realized what one little rescue would get her into....

Marcus Grayden has been an immortal protector of humanity for
eight hundred years, and at the moment he's not interested in
backup. From the moment Ami arrives in his life, he can't deny that
she's strong, smart, and extremely skilled at watching his back. But
she's also destroying his protective solitude and stirring desires he
can't bear to awaken. After all, whatever her secrets--how can she
defeat death itself?

This is the second book in the Immortal Guardians series.

My review of Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally

Catching Jordan

I am very glad that I didn't let my dislike of football stop me from reading Catching Jordan. It was a sweet romantic read and much, much more!

Jordan is the Quarterback of her high school football team. She is focused on getting a scholarship to play college football. She doesn't notice boys the same way that other girls do.

Everything changes when Ty Green comes to her school. Jordan falls in love for the first time but doesn't know how to be anything other than one of the guys. She tries to figure out how to be more of a girl but doesn't have much help. She fumbles her way through and comes out of the situation understanding herself better.

The book about so much more than her love life. Jordan has to deal with peer pressure, slander, and other not so pleasant things. Jordan's father doesn't like her playing football and because of that, their relationship isn't the greatest.

This book is told from Jordan's point of view. I really enjoyed the characters. It was fun to see them interact with each other.

Catching Jordan will take you on a tour of your emotions. Be prepared to laugh, cry, yell, and have an awesome time. It was a wonderful book and I can't praise Miranda Kenneally enough for writing it.

I would recommend this book to everyone looking for a terrific story.

I won my copy from Addicted 2 Novels blog. This is my honest opinion.

My review of Getting Lucky by Susan Andersen

Getting Lucky (Marine #2)Getting Lucky by Susan Andersen

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was the second book in the Marine series. The main characters are perfect for each other!

Zach is tough and hardheaded, stubborn and suspicious of everyone. He is especially suspicious when his baby sister is involved because she is sweet and trusting and has gotten taken advantage of before.

Lily is sweet, kind, and determined. She tries to be nice and overlook Zach's neanderthal behavior but a women can only take so much.

The tension and attraction between these two was through the roof. I really enjoyed the interaction between the characters. It was easy to relate to them.

The twists and turns of the plot will keep you on your toes. I was thoroughly entertained.

Although it is not necessary to read Head over Heels(the first book in this series) before reading Getting Lucky, I would because it was also a good read.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes romance.

I'm so excited!

I get to read Every Time I Think of You by Camryn Rhys.

Every Time I Think of You

Here's the synopsis from Goodreads:

Madison Bishop’s fantasy man, Drew Wingate, doesn’t know she exists. Unfortunately, when he does recognize her curvy hotness, he’s in the midst of a celibacy challenge; the outcome of which could make or break his career. He’s not allowed to talk about the challenge until it’s complete, but Madison is just so delectable, and so … willing. But when Madison takes his reticence as some kind of game-playing, she wonders if she’s been all wrong about the man of her dreams.

I think it sounds like a fun read.

I'll post my review when I'm done reading it!

Do yourself a favor and read a good book!

I started to read Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally.

I can not put it down! If you like young adult romances,

you don't want to miss this! Also, I am not a big football fan,

but I am really liking this book. If you are like me and football

is not your favorite thing, read it anyway.

You'll be glad that you did! I'll post my review when I'm done.

Catching Jordan

From the back of the book:

What girl doesn't want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in

and day out? Jordan Woods isn't just surrounded by hot guys, she

leads them as the captain and quarterback of her high school

football team. They all see her as one of the guys and that's just fine.

As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse

 university.

But everything she's ever worked for is threatened when Ty Green

moves to her school. Not only is he an amazing QB, but he's also

amazingly hot. And for the first time, Jordan's feeling vulnerable.

Can she keep her head in the game while her heart's on the line?

I will Always love You!

Have you heard the sad news?

Whitney Houston died today. She was 48 years old.

The cause of death has not been disclosed.

She was one of my favorite singers before she became addicted to drugs.

She was a star who's light burned out too fast.

Even though she is gone, it is doubtful that she will ever be forgotten.

I'd like to send my condolences to her family and I hope that she will Rest In Peace.

Wednesday's Wonderings!

I am a chronic re-reader. Sometimes the stories that I re-read aren't even my favorites.

I am wondering, do you re-read?

I just get in the mood to read the story again. Sometimes it's because I have forgotten how the story plays out. Sometimes it's because I remember the story portraying a certain emotion that I am feeling.

I am wondering, why do you re-read?

I like to revisit books when the next book in the series is due to come out. I especially like to revisit them if the series has many books in it or if it has been a long time between releases.

Hey, for me any excuse to re-read a favorite is a good one!

I sometimes find myself in a reading funk, where I can't decide what type of book to read.

When that happens, I usually go to my bookshelves and find a book that I've already enjoyed.

After revisiting a favorite, I'm usually ready for something new again.

I am wondering, when do you re-read?

At least once a week I re-read something, probably more.

I have plenty of new books to choose from, so it's not that nothing is available.

I enjoy getting to know the characters in the books that I read.

When I read them a second or third time, it's like visiting with friends that I haven't seen for awhile.

I was wondering, how often do you re-read?

I re-read whatever I'm in the mood for at the time, whether it is a romance, a mystery, or urban fantasy.

It doesn't seem to matter, I've probably re-read them all.

I was wondering, is there a certain type of book that you prefer to revisit?

Is there any type of book that you'd never consider rereading (other than one you didn't like)?

I was just wondering. I'd like to know what your thoughts are about re-reading.

My review of Alpha Instinct by Katie Reus!

Alpha Instinct by Katie Reus

In Alpha Instinct, the main character is Ana Cordona. She becomes the Alpha for her pack of werewolves, after all of the males and the pregnant females are killed in a tragic act of hatred. She is headstrong and independent. She has the weight of the world on her shoulders, as she is the type to put everyone else's needs before her own. She feels that she has to take care of everyone at all costs!

Connor Armstrong is strong, possessive, territorial, and stubborn. He and Ana haven't seen each other for fifty years. The last time they seen each other, they were best friends who both wanted more from their relationship. He left without saying goodbye to her. He had his reasons for leaving, but doesn't want to discuss them with Ana. When he refuses to tell her what his reasons were, she reacts the way most females would and assumes the worst.

Conner and his pack appear one day out of the blue. He offers Ana and her pack his protection. There is only one condition, he wants her to be his bondmate. She is leery because she loved him before and he left her without a word. She was devastated and heartbroken, and the wound never completely healed. She feels that if he did it once, he may decide to leave her again and she's not sure that her heart could take it again.

Ana goes through so much. She is being threatened by a neighboring pack. Someone is trying to harm the people she cares about. And she battles with herself, over her feelings for Connor.

It would be impossible to be bored while reading this book because it has such an interesting plot. It has all of the elements needed for a good  story. There was action, romance, and lots of mystery all rolled up into one great adventure! It was a good start to a new series. I look forward to reading the next book in the Moon Shifter series.

I would recommend this to everyone who likes paranormal romance, werewolf books, or just a really good read. I could not put it down!

My rating: 4/5 stars
